Engine Detailing Chicago
A clean engine bay isn't vanity — it's the first thing a mechanic, a buyer, or a dealer appraiser sees when the hood opens, and it changes how they treat everything after. Our engine detailing is deliberately conservative: low-moisture surface cleaning, gentle degreasers, sensitive components protected, and never — ever — a pressure washer. Mobile, anywhere in greater Chicago, from $80.

Why We Don't Pressure Wash Engines
Modern engine bays are dense with connectors, sensors, and control modules. High-pressure water forces its way into electrical connections and past seals — the classic result is a car that ran fine before its "engine wash" and throws codes after. Our low-moisture method gets the visual result without gambling your electronics.
The Process
Sensitive components covered, dry debris blown and brushed out, gentle degreaser applied and agitated by hand on grimy areas, wiped and detailed, then plastic and rubber dressed to a clean factory finish — not a dripping-wet shine.
Best Times to Book It
Before selling or trading in — a clean bay reads as "maintained" and supports your asking price. Before a mechanic visit, as a courtesy that pays off. And after any oil or coolant leak repair, so future leaks show immediately on a clean surface instead of hiding in old grime.
Common Questions
Is it safe for my car?
With our low-moisture method, yes — that's the entire reason we do it this way instead of the fast way.
Can you remove years of caked oil and grime?
Substantially, yes — heavy accumulation may take extra time, which we'll quote up front.
Engine detailing pairs perfectly with full car detailing before a sale — both delivered via our mobile service.
