Water Spot Removal Chicago
Those white rings dotting your hood and glass aren't dirt — they're mineral deposits, left behind when hard water evaporated on your paint. Sprinkler overspray while parked, a summer storm followed by hot sun, a well-meaning neighbor's hose — the water leaves, the minerals stay, and they etch deeper the longer they sit. Regular washing won't touch them; polish alone often won't either. We remove them with dedicated water-spot chemistry. Mobile, anywhere in Chicagoland.

Why Water Spots Need Their Own Chemistry
Mineral deposits are alkaline; dissolving them takes a mild acid-based remover that neutralizes and releases the deposit without harming the clear coat — followed by polishing where etching has started. Spots on glass respond especially well, often coming off completely with the right product where scrubbing had failed for months.
Catch Them Early
Fresh spots dissolve easily. Spots baked in over a summer begin etching craters into the clear coat itself — at that stage removal requires machine correction, and severe etching can be permanent. If your car parks near sprinklers, don't wait a season.
Common Questions
Spots keep coming back in the same place — why?
The source is still there — usually a sprinkler schedule. We'll remove the spots and seal the paint so the next overspray beads and wipes off instead of etching.
Are the spots on my glass the same thing?
Yes, and glass often shows them worst — windshield mineral haze creates serious glare at night. We treat paint and glass in the same visit.
